Brief Description |
As a part of a global alliance between Jaguar Land Rover and the Red Cross, this three year program aims to enhance community resilience in peri-urban communities in Tuxtla Gutierrez and San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. The program team understands resilience as a process, a way of thinking and acting, not just an end state. To this end, we work to facilitate diverse connections between people, communities, and the systems that support them. We focus on working in partnership with multiple actors as well as through local champions to strengthen opportunities for positive change. The program’s objectives include: 1) enhancing community resilience to natural hazards; and 3) influencing key stakeholders and decision makers through advocacy. |
